Principal Yoga teacher Deborah Kennedy – who trained at Balance Yoga, Glasgow’s foremost Teacher Training School gaining a diploma to teach hatha yoga – guide students to develop their practice, celebrate their bodies, improve their wellbeing, advance their postures, and explore yoga in its widest sense to balance the body and mind through movement and stillness.

At Restoring Balance Yoga Glasgow, our principal style of yoga is Hatha. Hatha, as a general rule or classification, contains all of the main postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayamas) used in most other derivative forms of physical yoga such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Kundalini etc.

If you are new to yoga, Hatha is ideal, as it introduces the fundamentals of the postures and breathing techniques to provide a basis for which continued development is based. It’s also perfect for those familiar with yoga to deepen their physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Deborah has extensive experience in exercise referral, exercise instruction, exercise for cardiac rehabilitation, health promotion, event massage, yoga practice, yoga training, and teaching massage and has, over the last seven years, specialised in sports and remedial massage in her clinic.
